About Slow Knit Studio

I am Martine, and every pattern here is mine.

Slow Knit Studio runs alongside a full time job and two children, in the hour after the kids go to bed. It is what gets made in that hour.

The patterns are written for the hands that will follow them. Every pattern is tech edited before it is test knitted, and test knitted in all sizes before it is published. If a mistake is found later, the updated version goes up. All patterns are written in Norwegian and English at the same time, and then translated into more languages.

I want everyone to trust and feel they can wear what they make from my patterns.

The designs sit in small families: Coffee, Granola, Mistlight, Tales of Patagonia. A family grows when the next piece deserves to exist. Nineteen patterns so far.
