Mistlight Gloves are close-fitting fingerless gloves in the same yarn and gauge as Mistlight Cardigan and Mistlight Sweater. They are worked in the round from the wrist, and the thumb opening sits at the side, so you knit the same glove twice.

Mistlight Gloves

How it is knitted

You cast on with an Italian cast-on and work an edge in double knitting and ribbing.

The wrist is worked in the round in the stitch pattern. You choose whether to knit from the right side or the wrong side, and whether the wrist is narrower or wider.

The thumb gusset is increased following a chart, and the thumb stitches are set aside while the hand is finished.

The hand and the thumb are finished the same way, with ribbing, double knitting and an Italian bind-off.

Fit

The gloves are meant to sit close to the hand, so choose the size where your knuckle circumference falls in the middle of the range.

Measure around the hand over the knuckles, without the thumb.

If your measurement is at the top of a range and you want close-fitting gloves, you can go down a size and follow the instructions for the wider wrist. Try the glove on after 2 to 3 cm [1 in].
